IPD Coventry NIHL Blaze are pleased to announce the return of 30-year-old defenceman, Niall Simpson, for the 2025/26 season.

Simpson, who returns for a sixth season with the NIHL Blaze, registered 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist), and 6 penalty-minutes in 16 appearances last season.

On re-signing for the NIHL Blaze Simpson said… “Really happy to be back with the NIHL Blaze and a great group of lads we have to support in whatever way I can.”

“Sean and the rest of the management have been building year on year getting the club to the point of challenging for silverware and it’s an exciting year for the club which I'm proud to be a part of.”

NIHL Blaze Head Coach, Sean Alderson said…  

“Although not available all the time due to work commitments Niall still wants to be part of our group and will bring additional depth to our defensive group when needed.”  

“He is a great team first guy who also brings a lot of heart and passion every time he plays.”
