IDP Coventry NIHL Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of 17-year-old forward, Ashton Rudkin, for the 2024/25 season.

Rudkin, who recorded 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) in 14 appearances for the NIHL Blaze last season, steps up from the Academy’s U18 side for whom he registered 27 points (21 goals, 6 assists), and 47 penalty-minutes in 13 appearances last season.

On signing for the NIHL Blaze Rudkin said…

“After getting the opportunity to play at NIHL level last season whilst still with the U18 I’m looking forward to being with the team full time and I can’t wait to see what this season brings.”

NIHL Blaze Head Coach, Sean Alderson said…

“We brought Ashton in as a prospect player last season and in the opportunities he got throughout the season he gave a good account of himself.”

“It will now be interesting to see how he makes that full time transition into senior hockey.”
