IDP Coventry NIHL Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of 19-year-old netminder, Owen Chester, for the 2025/26 season.

Chester, who was one of the NIHL Blaze’s prospect players last season, posted an 90.70 SV% in 16 appearances for the Academy’s U19 side last season.

On signing for the NIHL Blaze Chester said…

“I'm happy to make the full time step up to senior hockey and can’t wait to improve my game further throughout the season.”

NIHL Blaze Head Coach, Sean Alderson said…

“Owen trained with us throughout last season and showed great progress so I am pleased he has taken the opportunity to join us full time this season.”

“While he knows he will need to show patience with regards to ice time we are confident he will be ready when called upon.”
