The IDP Coventry NIHL Blaze can today confirm that #76 Harry Sherlock, #11 Scott Venus and #13 Lewis Smith will not be returning for the 2024/25 season.

Harry Sherlock has been within the Coventry Juniors since 2017 before making the move to the NIHL Blaze in the 21/22 season. Sherlock has iced in sixty-seven games for the club, scoring nine goals and four assists, alongside fifty-nine penalty minutes.

Scott Venus has been within the Coventry system since 2005 whilst icing and playing for numerous other teams within his tenure. He has however, iced for the ENL/NIHL Blaze in the 2009/10 season, 2016-17 season, 2018-19 season, and then since the 2021-22 season up until the end of last season. Venus has iced in a total of one hundred and twenty-four games, scoring nine goals and twenty-five assists, alongside two hundred and thirty-six penalty minutes.

Finally, Lewis Smith has iced for the NIHL Blaze for four seasons - 2016/17, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24. During his time with the club, Smith iced in eighty-three games, scoring twenty-one goals and seven assists, alongside twenty-eight penalty minutes.

We are aware some will move onto new clubs and others may not, but what ever is to come we wish nothing but the best for Harry, Scott and Lewis and we thank them for their time and commitment to the club during their tenure.
