IDP Coventry NIHL Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of 26-year-old defenceman, Jack McKay, for the 2025/26 season.

McKay returns to the NIHL Blaze having previous played for the club for 4 seasons between 2015-2019, registering 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists), and 24 penalty-minutes in 56 appearances.

On signing for the NIHL Blaze McKay said…

“I’m looking forward to getting the season started, it’s been a few years since I pulled on a NIHL Blaze jersey but I’m excited to get back into it.”

“It’s also nice to see some familiar faces in the team and I think we have a strong team for the coming season so let’s see if we can bring home some silverware.”

NIHL Blaze Head Coach, Sean Alderson said…

“I worked with Jack at U18, U20 and NIHL level during his previous spell with the club and it’s nice to see him back enjoying his hockey again.”

“He’s another good skating defenceman who can move the puck well.”
