Coventry NIHL Blaze are delighted to confirm that forward Jamie Lewis will return to the club for the 2026/27 season, continuing a long-standing association with the Blaze that dates back to 2021.

Lewis has become a familiar and valued figure within the Blaze dressing room, having spent the past five seasons with the club and accumulating more than 100 appearances in Coventry colours.

Elite Prospects currently credits Lewis with 129 Blaze league appearances, nine goals and 25 assists for 34 points, alongside 122 penalty minutes.

The 26-year-old has been a consistent member of the Blaze roster throughout their recent spell in NIHL 2, featuring during a period which has seen Coventry establish themselves as regular contenders at the top end of the division.

Lewis' game is built around his competitiveness and willingness to do the hard work required for the team. While his numbers don't necessarily tell the full story of his contribution, his energy and commitment provide an important balance within the Blaze forward group.

His five seasons with Coventry have also given him considerable experience of playing alongside many of the club's established core. Lewis has shared the ice with long-serving Blaze players including Arthur Brookes, Sam Prosser, Ryan James and Daniel Kent, helping provide continuity within the dressing room as the roster continues to evolve.

The 2025/26 season saw Lewis continue his role within the squad as Coventry finished third in NIHL 2 with 47 points, scoring 109 goals while conceding just 62 across their 24 regular-season games.

Lewis' return therefore gives Head Coach Sean Alderson another experienced option within the forward group as the Blaze look to build on last season and go one step further in their pursuit of silverware.

With a combination of established leaders, returning core players and exciting new additions, Lewis' experience of the Blaze environment will be valuable as the team prepares for another competitive NIHL 2 campaign.
