IDP Coventry NIHL Blaze are pleased to announce the return of 20-year-old forward, Ethan Wheeldon for the 2025/26 season.

Wheeldon, returns for his third season with the NIHL Blaze, registered 6 points (5 goals, 1 assist), and 10 penalty-minutes in 27 appearances last season.

On re-signing for the NIHL Blaze Wheeldon said…

“I’m more than happy to be back with the NIHL Blaze for the coming season.”

“After last year I think we all know we can push for a higher spot in the league and some silverware this year, especially with the team Sean’s putting together.”

“Looking forward to September and getting back on the ice with the lads.”

NIHL Blaze Head Coach, Sean Alderson said…

“I’m pleased to have Ethan back for another season, he has a good work ethic, shows a willingness to learn and continues to improve season on season.”

“Hopefully, we will be able to get him some more NIHL1 experience this season too to aid his development.”
