Coventry NIHL Blaze are delighted to confirm that forward Oliver Dixon will return to the club for the 2026/27 season.

The young forward will continue his development in Coventry colours after establishing himself as an exciting member of the Blaze roster over recent seasons.

Dixon has quickly become a valuable part of the Blaze setup since joining the senior team, with Elite Prospects recording 65 NIHL 2 appearances for Coventry, contributing 19 goals and 11 assists for 30 points.

Despite still being one of the younger players within the group, Dixon has already shown his ability to contribute offensively at senior level. His career numbers with the Blaze highlight his development, averaging 0.46 points per game across his NIHL 2 appearances.

The 2025/26 campaign saw Dixon continue to gain valuable experience within the Blaze lineup, featuring in both league and cup competition. During the NIHL 2 North Cup, Dixon recorded two assists in four appearances, demonstrating his ability to contribute when given opportunities in competitive fixtures.

Dixon represents the next generation of Blaze talent, with his progression reflecting the club’s continued focus on developing and retaining young players within the organisation.

His speed, offensive instincts and willingness to compete provide another attacking option for Head Coach Sean Alderson as Coventry continue to build a roster capable of challenging at the top end of NIHL 2.

With another season ahead, Dixon will be looking to take the next step in his development and continue making an impact in Blaze colours.

Welcome back, Oliver!
