IDP Coventry NIHL Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of 32-year-old defenceman, Stephen Crowe, for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

Crowe, who played for the NIHL Blaze during the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons, returns to the team having spent the last five seasons playing for rivals Telford Tigers 2 for who he registered 21 points (1 goal, 20 assists), and 89 penalty-minutes in 117 appearances.

On signing for the NIHL Blaze Crowe said…  “I am thrilled to be returning to the NIHL Blaze for the remainder of the season, it’s great to be playing alongside some former teammates as well as some fresh new talent.”

“The team has had a great start to the season and I’m hoping that can continue and we can compete for some silverware come the end of the season.”  

NIHL Blaze Head Coach, Sean Alderson said…  “When I heard ‘Crowie’ had become available I didn’t hesitate to bring him on board.”

“As a former captain of the team he will bring some valuable experience and leadership to the group as well as some additional size and depth to our defensive line-up.”
