Coventry NIHL Blaze are delighted to confirm that forward Arthur Brookes will return to the club for the 2026/27 season.
The Coventry-born forward brings a huge amount of experience to the Blaze roster, with the upcoming campaign set to continue what has already been an impressive 11-year association with the club.
Brookes first appeared for the Blaze back in 2013 and has gone on to establish himself as one of the club's longest-serving players. Elite Prospects currently records 240 Blaze appearances, 70 goals and 48 assists for 118 points across his career, placing him sixth on the club's all-time points list.
That longevity is particularly impressive given the forward has been part of the Blaze setup across more than a decade, experiencing several different generations of the team along the way.
Brookes has also become an important leader within the dressing room. He has worn an 'A' on his jersey for the past three seasons, serving as an alternate captain alongside Daniel Kent in 2023/24 and 2025/26, while also sharing the role with Ryan James in 2024/25.
The 2025/26 season saw Brookes continue to add to his already considerable Blaze career numbers, taking his recorded league experience to 247 appearances, 74 goals and 45 assists for 119 points across his NIHL career.
At 28, Brookes remains one of the more experienced forwards within the Blaze group and his familiarity with the club, the league and the demands of competing at this level will once again be valuable as Coventry looks to build on last season's third-place finish in NIHL2.
Welcome back, Arthur!
