IDP Coventry NIHL Blaze are pleased to announce the signing of 18-year-old netminder, Joel Bearman, for the 2024/25 season.

Bearman, who backed up for the NIHL Blaze on eighteen occasions last season, posted an 95.70 SV% in 14 appearances for the Academy’s U18 side last season.

On signing for the NIHL Blaze Bearman said…

“After backing up on many occasions last season and being part of the team that had their best season I am really excited to be returning for this coming season.”

“I'm also delighted to have been given the opportunity to push myself and grow with the team, hopefully we can push and have an even better season than the previous season.”

“Joel came in and did a great job for us last season when needed and I am pleased he has taken the opportunity to join us full time this season.”

“He’s a great kid who shows a great willingness to learn and better himself and with Ben moving on he will get more opportunity this season, something he thoroughly deserves for the commitment he has shown to the team.”
